Phase 1: Diagnostic & Analysis (Weeks 1 - 4)

The goal of this phase is to document the "As-Is" processes and define the "To-Be" architecture. We identify gaps between standard D365 functionality and your unique requirements.

  • Key Deliverable: Solution Blueprint and Fit/Gap Analysis
  • Risk: "Scope Creep." Failing to document strict boundaries here will cause budget overruns later.

Phase 2: Design & Prototyping (Weeks 5 - 10)

We configure a sandbox environment with standard functionality and present it to your Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) through iterative Conference Room Pilots (CRPs). These CRP workshops allow your team to validate the prototype against real-world scenarios. Customizations are mapped and technical designs are drafted.

Phase 3: Development & Configuration (Weeks 11 - 20)

The technical team writes custom code (AL for Business Central, X++ for F&O), builds integrations to third-party systems, and develops custom reports.

  • Key Deliverable: Fully functional system ready for testing
  • Risk: Delays in data migration scripts or integration APIs not being ready from legacy systems.

Phase 4: User Acceptance Testing & Training (Weeks 21 - 26)

Your SMEs rigorously test the system using real-world scenarios. We train your core users, who then train the rest of the staff (Train-the-Trainer approach).

  • Key Deliverable: UAT Sign-off and Trained Staff
  • Risk: Lack of client availability. If your SMEs are too busy with their day jobs to test, the project stalls.

Phase 5: Cutover & Go-Live (Weeks 27 - 30)

The final phase involves loading opening balances, switching user access from the old system to Dynamics 365, and providing on-site/remote "Hypercare" support for the first month of live operations.
