How to Export Your Contacts as a .VCF File
iPhone / iCloud
Open the Contacts app on iOS. Tap Lists in the top left corner. Long-press on All Contacts (or a specific group) and tap Export. Choose which fields to include and save the .vcf file to iCloud Drive or AirDrop to your computer.
Google / Samsung
Open the Google Contacts app on your Android phone. Tap Fix & manage at the bottom. Select Export to file, choose your account, and tap Save .vcf to your Downloads folder.
Outlook / Contacts.app
On macOS Contacts, select all cards and click File → Export → Export vCard.... In Microsoft Outlook, go to your Contacts folder, select the desired address book, and forward as Business Cards or export to vCard.

Review the contacts and duplicates
Matches are found by phone number, email or exact name. Filter to duplicates only to see what was flagged before you act.
Purge the duplicates you agree with
Removing them is a single action, and the count is shown so you know what was dropped.
Pick a preset and download
Universal Excel, Google Contacts or Microsoft Outlook. Phone numbers are escaped so a leading plus sign is not read as a formula.

Why is client-side conversion so important for contact books?
